A medical camp was organised in the school by the NSS

8-12-2017

Christmas programme was conducted in the chapel by MGOCSM. Some students and teachers participate in this.The result of medical camp is given to students.

The class started by asking the reason of various sound produced by different objects . Factors affecting natural frequency was taken by constructivist model. Different activities are given to the students. Heat capacity was taught by boiling water and oil.

The class started by giving students various bottles of soft drinks and ask to identify various chemical components.Students find so much interested in finding harmful effects of soft drinks. A video containing harmful effects of soft drinks is also shown to students.

The class started by asking various uses of water, to which students gave prompt answers, and found question-answer section interesting. Boiling point of water is taught by showing experiment. Thermometer is provided to students and students took reading with that. Various pictures are also used to explain the pressure dependence of boiling point of water.

20 November  MONDAY

     A PTA meeting was conducted in the afternoon for the students who were attending going for study tour as part of the  "Nalla Paadam" programme.

22 November  WEDNESDAY

  Assembly was  conducted in the morning. During assembly ,   students who participated in District Level  Science Exhibition were  congratulated and motivated to do well in the future .

    Kesiya Mariyam from class 7 spoke on " Importance of Education" .

   Winners of  "Arivinte Logam " , School competition were also congratulated.

23 November  THURSDAY

    The students who participated in the Science Exhibition further proceeded to Kozhikode in the afternoon .

 I took this lesson as a Powerpoint Presentation. Students are very active and  attentive  but students take more  time for drawing diagrams .

 A booklet prepared on the uses of spherical mirror is given to students.Students find helpful in reading this.

PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

Teaching Practice needs a lots of preparation . Our Teaching Practice started on 13 th November 2017. One week prior, we go to our concern/allotted school and take portions for teaching.Mine was s Mount Tabor Girls School, Pathanapuram. My concern teacher is  Susamma .I was allotted class 8 D cl for teaching.Teacher gave me "Reflection from a Spherical Mirror" in Physics and "Solutions" in chemistry.

For a week ,  I had to take a lot of preparation for lesson planning and teaching aid.

General Activities of the School

November 14

The school celebrated childrens Day with a special assembly, which was conducted by the students itself.

During the Assembly,  the participants of the Science exhibition were awarded prizes.

A painting competition was held in the afternoon

On 16 November ,  an ecofriendly program was conducted in the school. A special Assembly was conducted to distribute Cashew Saplins.

November 17

On this day i came to know that ,  a special program was conducted in the school on every Friday named  "Navaprabha" for students who need special education.
